Abstract:Endometriosis is a common and frequently-occurring disease in gynecology, characterized by diverse clinical manifestations, severe symptoms, low cure rate, and high recurrence rate. The use of traditional Chinese medicine to treat this disease has certain advantages. Professor Yi Xiuzhen proposed to treat the syndrome of deficiency and excess by combining nourishing the vital energy, invading pathogenic toxins, and accumulating dampness, phlegm, and blood stasis based on the pathogenesis of endometriosis, emphasis should be placed on the recovery of liver, spleen, and kidney functions, supplemented by dispelling dampness, resolving phlegm, and removing blood stasis, in order to achieve the goal of eliminating dampness, eliminating evil, and providing new ideas for the prevention and treatment of endometriosis in traditional Chinese medicine.
