Objective: To study terpenoids from the rhizomes of Hedychium yunnanense Gangep.. Methods: Sesquiterpenois were isolated from the rhizomes of H. yunnanense, with column chromatography methods, and the sesquiterpenoids were identified on the basis of spectral methods. Results: Six known compounds, including γ-cadinene (1), δ-cadinene (2), α-muurolene (3), epicubenol (4), nerolidol (5) and oplopanone (6). Conclusion: Six compounds were isolated from H. yunnanense for the first time.
