The motherland medicine basic concepts -- acupoints in structure and function characteristics，distribution，main and collateral channels acupoints and the relationship between the number of points，five aspects of the characteristics was discussed，we can better understand the acupoints，to guide the clinical practice，improve the level of diagnosis and treatment are helpful.
