Objective To optimize extraction process conditions of Semen Strychni. Methods With the content of Strychnine and brucine as the target， based on the single factor experiment， extraction technology of Semen Strychni was optimized by L9（34）orthogonal test， taking the concentration of ethanol， ethanol dosage and extraction time as investigated factors. Results Optimum extraction technology was：extracted 3 times with 10 times the amount of 50% ethanol， 2 hours each time. Conclusion This optimized extraction technology was simple and reasonable and it was stable.
