The indirect tonifying method is one of the tonifying metheds which based on the characteristic of traditional Chinese medicine theory. This article to discuss the indirect method in the application of medical disease from the following five aspects：1. Each other aid of Yin and Yang；2. Generation among five elements；3. Qi-blood begets；4. To fill by clearing and purgation；5. Complement with its source.
