Objective To improve the quality standard for Qingdu Baiyanxiao Ointment. Methods Lobelia Chinensis Lour in the prescription was identified by TLC ， and the content of chlorogenic acid was determined by HPLC. Results TLC spots were clear， with strong specificity. Chlorogenic acid showed a good linear relationship at the range of 0.07288μg-1.458μg， r=0.9999. The average recovery was 99.80% and RSD was 0.5%. Conclusion The established method is Simple， accurate， and can be used for the quality control of Qingdu Baiyanxiao Ointment.
