Abstract:Objective To discuss the effect of acupoint application therapy on blood pressure level of hypertensive patients with yin deficiency and yang excess syndrome. Methods Based on the inclusive and exclude criteria, 80 hypertensive patients were chosen through convenient sampling and divided into trial group and control group via random number table. Every group contains 40 patients. Trial group received general treatment and acupoint application therapy, control group only received general treatment. Blood pressure level was evaluated before the intervention and after every course. Results After 8 weeks and 12 weeks of the intervention, the SBP of trial group was dropped when compared with control group, which had statistically significant differences(P<0.05). The SBP of trial group presented a downside, which had statistically significant differences at different timings(P<0.01). The DBP of trial group was not changed obviously(P>0.05). Conclusion Acupoint application therapy can lower blood pressure level of hypertensive patients with yin deficiency and yang excess syndrome, which mainly affected the SBP.
