Objective To observe the effects of acupuncture plus Zhongfeng Fuyuan Formula for Dysphagia after Stroke. Methods Totally 90 cases were randomized into three groups， acupuncture group（30 cases）， traditional Chinese medicine group（30 cases）， acupuncture plus traditional Chinese medicine group（30 cases）. Before treatment， after treatment for four weeks and eight weeks， the effect was evaluanted according to the swallowing test of the three groups. Results After treatment for eight weeks， the total effective rate of swallowing test was 83.33% in the acupuncture group， 76.66% in the traditional Chinese medicine group， 93.33% in the acupuncture plus traditional Chinese medicine group with significant difference among the three（P<0.01）. Conclusion acupuncture plus Zhongfeng Fuyuan Formula is effective for dysphagia after stroke.
