Objective To establish a TLC identification method for the Tianma Xuanyunning Tablets， and to provide the basis for improving the quality standard of the preparation. Methods Twelve kinds of Chinese medicine crop， such as Gastrodia elata， Radix paeoniae alba and Uncaria， Alisma Orientails in this prescription were identified by TLC. Results In the chromatograms of the tested products， the same color spots were shown in the corresponding position of the chromatograms for the control article or the crude drugs as control， and there was no interference in the negative control. Conclusion The method is simple， sensitive and specific for the quality control of Tianma Xuanyunning Tablets.
