Objective To study clinical curative effect of cases of the lung-distension with syndrome of phlegm retention in the lung treated by dragon moxibustion with Wengfei Huatang decoction on governor meridian. Methods According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria， 48 patients of the lung-distension with syndrome of phlegm retention in the lung incorporated into the study were randomly divided into two groups： treatment group and control group. treatment group was treated by dragon moxibustion with Wengfei Huatang decoction on governor meridian for two weeks which was proved prescription of our department once every other day. In control group， patients were treated by taken orally with Wengfei Huatang decoction， one dose one day. It was taken two times one day for two weeks. To take statistical analysis of TCM symptom score of the patients in the two groups before and after the treatment. Results The TCM symptom scores of the two groups were significantly lower than before treatment， and the treatment group was significantly lower than the control group， especially in treatment group. Meanwhile， treatment group was significantly higher than the control group in excellence ratio. Conclusion The dragon moxibustion with Wengfei Huatang decoction on governor meridian is effective in the treatment of lung-distension with syndrome of phlegm retention.
