Objective To investigate quality of life effects in the treatment of Modified Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction for patients of postoperative colorectal cancer. Methods A total of 78 cases of the patients of post-operation colonic cancer were randomly divided into treatment group and control group two groups， each 39 cases. The two groups were both treated with chemotherapy for 6 cycles of continuous treatment at least， and the treatment group was additionally treated with Modified Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction. The quality of life was assessed and compared before and after treatment by Core quality of life questionnaire（QLQ-C30）. Chemotherapy completion rate and quality of life were observed. Results Chemotherapy completion rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group（P<0.05）. After treatment， symptoms（emotion function， nausea and vomiting， loss of appetite， diarrhea） has improved in the treatment group， and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.01）. Compared with the control group， significantly improved quality of life in aspects of fatigue in the treatment group， and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）. Conclusions Modified Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction can improve the life quality of the patients， successfully finished the chemotherapy.
