Objective To investigate the effect of scutellarin on the relative expression of circRNA in breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells， and to further explore the mechanism of scutellarin on tumor. Methods The relative expression of circRNAs OXNAD1 and SMARCA5 in breast cancer cells treated with scutellarin was detected by real-time quantitative PCR in the control group and the different dose groups. Results The relative expression of circRNA OXNAD1 in breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells was significantly decreased（P<0.05） at low dose（1， 10 and 25μm）， and significantly increased at high dose（100μm）（P<0.05）. The expression of circRNA SMARCA5 in breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells was significantly decreased（P<0.05） at the low dose（1， 10， 25， 50μm）， and significant at high dose（100μm）（P<0.05）. Conclusion Scutellarin has an effect on the expression of circRNA OXNAD 1 and SMARCA5 with a dose-response relationship， the low doses and high dose showed opposite expression changes.
