Objective To observe effects of Polyphyllin I and Sorafenib on the proliferation and cell cycle and apoptosis of MHCC97-H. Methods MHCC97H cells of logarithmic growth phase was detected for cell proliferation by adding different concentrations of Polyphyllin I and sorafenib for 24 hours. 2. According to the results of CCK8， the concentration of IC50 of Polyphyllin I and Sorafenib on MHCC97-H cells was selected and interfering cells for 24 hours to observe the cell cycle and apoptosis. Results IC50 ofPolyphyllin I and sorafenib on MHCC97H cells was 5.7μg/ml、 10μmol/ml. compared with blank control group， Polyphyllin I and Sorafenib can inhibit S period， blocked the cells in G0/G1 phase， can obviously promote the cell apoptosis. There was a significant difference compared with the blank control group（P＜0.01）. Conclusion Polyphyllin I can significantly inhibit the proliferation of MHCC97H and promote its apoptosis.
