Since 2010, China began to implement the training program for free medical students in rural areas, focusing on training health talents engaged in general practice in township health centers and medical and health institutions below Based on the data of targeted training of free medical students for undergraduate medical majors in rural areas from 2011 to 2020 in Yunnan Province, this paper studies the policy implementation status of the training program for free medical students in Yunnan Province, analyzes the problems in the implementation process of the program, and puts forward policy suggestions.
