Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of treating of lumbar disc herniation(LDH) with the intraspinal target of water needle knife. Methods Twenty-two patients with LDH diagnosed in our hospital were treated with intraspinal target therapy with water needle knife from April 2020 to April 2022. The visual analogue scale(VAS), oswestry disability index(ODI) index before treatment and after treatment for 1 week, 1 month and 3 months and the adverse reactions were recorded. The curative effect was evaluated at the last follow-up. Results The VAS score and ODI index were significantly improved at different time after treatment, and there was significant difference before and after treatment (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in both VAS score and ODI index between those in 1 week,1 month and 3 months after treatment(P>0.05). During the last follow-up, the effect of MacNab was excellent in 9 cases, good in 7 cases, adequate in 3 cases, and poor in 3 cases. The overall excellent and good rate was 72.73%. No serious adverse reactions were observed during the treatment period. Three patients finally were taken surgical treatment of LDH. Conclusion The intraspinal target of water needle knife is a safe and effective in the treatment of LDH.
