Abstract:Gout is one of the common diseases in rheumatology department. During the acute attack, the joint is red, swollen and burning, and the course of disease is prolonged and difficult to heal, which brings great pain to patients. Traditional Chinese medicine has good clinical efficacy in the treatment of gout. At present, the acute stage is mostly based on damp heat, phlegm and blood stasis. The chronic stage is mainly based on the deficiency of spleen and kidney. There is little mention of the application of supporting yang method in the diagnosis and treatment of gout. However, based on the discussion of ancient books and clinical findings, supporting Yang theory also has certain application opportunities in the diagnosis and treatment of gout. Therefore, based on clinical research and literature research, this paper discusses the etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of gout from the theory of supporting Yang, in order to further supplement the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine, improve its syndrome differentiation and treatment scheme, and improve the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of gout.
