Objective To study the clinical effect of Kuntai capsule treating female patients in the menopausal transition period combined with femoston. Methods 100 menopausal patients were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group each with 50 person. Observation group received Kuntai capsule and femoston, the control group received femoston alone. The purpose is to test the changes in the score of clinical symptom, sex hormone concentration and bone density through standard of Kupperman and ultrasonic scan, etc. Results The Kupperman score, the level of FSH and LH in each group are both lower after 3 months treatment than before(P<0.05), and the level of FSH and LH in observation group is significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05). Level of E2 and bone density in observation group are massively higher than the control group after 3 months treatment(P<0.05). Conclusion Kuntai capsule combined with femoston can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms and bone condition during the menopausal transition period.
