Abstract:With the increasing aging of Chinese society, the health problems of elderly men are recerving more and more attention. Benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH), is one of the common diseases among elderly men, and its incidence rate increases with age. In recent years, benign prostatic hyperplasia with prostatic texture changes(e.g., uneven echogenicity, calcification, stones, etc.) has gradually increased, which not only increases the difficulty of treatment, but also has a serious impact on patients‘ life. This article aims to discuss the pathogenesis, mechanism, and diagnostic and treatment strategies of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine for benign prostatic hyperplasia associated with calcification in urban elderly men in China.
