Abstract:As an important bridge course connecting classroom teaching and clinical practice, "Clinical Skills Training in Orthopedics" holds a special and significant position in undergraduate medical education in orthopedics. This article explores the practical application of clinical skills training in orthopedics under the BOPPPS model, and reconstructs and designs three specific teaching contents as examples. At different stages of the model, emphasis is placed on student participation and teacher guidance, with a focus on the integration of traditional Chinese medicine bone injury theory and skills. Traditional Chinese medicine concepts such as "equal emphasis on muscles and bones" and "dialectical treatment" are integrated, as well as medical ethics education of "great medical sincerity", in order to improve students‘ clinical skills and cultivate their ability to think independently and solve problems. Finally, the advantages and practical significance of the course design of "Clinical Skills Training in Orthopedics" based on the BOPPPS teaching model in inheriting the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine and improving teaching effectiveness were summarized.
