Abstract:Professor Sun Shanbin‘s clinical experience in treating cervical spondylosis of radiculopathy with Combined Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. Professor Sun Shanbin posits out that the primary pathogenesis of this condition involves three key factors: invasion by exogenous pathogenic factors(wind, cold, dampness, and heat), labor-induced injuries or trauma, and underlying constitutional deficiency. These factors obstruct the smooth circulation of Qi and blood in the meridians, leading to stagnation of Qi and blood in the fascia and muscles, ultimately resulting in disease manifestation. For treatment, he employs a layered warming and tonifying composite acupuncture technique combined with the Soufeng Juanbi Decoction. His acupuncture approach emphasizes primary and adjunct acupoint selection, with particular focus on the head and cervical regions, while his herbal regimen prioritizes promoting blood circulation, unblocking collaterals, dispelling wind, and eliminating cold to enhance clinical efficacy.
